Dr. Wright graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. Since graduation she has worked in a mixed animal practice for several years, taught the R.V.T. program at Olds College, worked as a paramedic on the ambulance and started her own small animal practice in Olds which she owned/managed for many years. She has enjoyed looking after the working dogs and breeding program for the RCMP police dog training program in Innisfail and has worked with Medicine River Wildlife Rehabilitation program throughout her career.

Dr. Wright has had the pleasure of working at Deer Park Pet Hospital for 22 years and has special interests in emergency medicine, surgery, ultrasound, and exotics. She also teaches as a sessional instructor in the Veterinary program at the University of Calgary. She is married and has an adult son & daughter. She enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling with family. She has an older Golden Retriever who still loves runs on their acreage, and a ragdoll cat who lives to torment the dog and cockatiel. Veterinary medicine has always, and will continue to be her passion.
