I began working in the veterinary field in 2018 as a technician assistant and receptionist while awaiting acceptance into an Animal Health Technology program. In 2019, I was accepted into the Thompson Rivers University distance program and graduated in 2022. During my time at TRU, I gained invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience through the clinic that mentored me.
I've always had a deep connection with animals. As a child, I often brought home stray cats—much to my mom’s dismay, despite her allergies—and grew up surrounded by dogs, birds, fish, and even snakes.
I have a special interest in anesthesia and wildlife medicine, and I hope to pursue wildlife rehabilitation in the future. Since joining Deer Park Pet Hospital, I’ve developed a new passion for exotic animal medicine. I love learning about different species and how to care for them, and the Deer Park team has been incredibly supportive in helping me grow my skills.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and my two senior cats. I also love spending time outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and fishing in the mountains.
