Jessica has been with Deer Park Pet Hospital since the spring of 2011.
Paige started with Deer Park Pet Hospital in March of 2012. She enjoys shopping, movies, and reading. She has three adorable cats named Bam, Boo, and Chloe
Stacy is a Client Care Specialist who works with our clients and their pets to ensure an efficient and enjoyable experience. Stacy has been a part of the Deer Park team for over 30 years! With her many years of experience in animal care and customer service, we value her role in our clinic. Inspired by her love of animals, Stacy co-founded “Whisker Rescue”, a passion project dedicated to giving cats a second chance at a happy and Purrfect life. Stacy’s compassion, unwavering commitment and outgoing personality has helped thousands of animals over the years. When Stacy isn’t at our clinic or her rescue, she enjoys riding her moped or biking through the city’s parks. She also loves painting and distressing old furniture which she sells to raise funds for Whisker Rescue. She loves spending time laughing with her husband Pete and their house full of happy cats!
Jayden is a client care specialist who works with owners and their animals to ensure they are getting the medical attention that they need. Following her love for animals, Jayden entered into the VMR program though Old’s College which leads her to our clinic. Over the last 3 years of working at the pet hospital, Jayden has earned a virtuous reputation with our clients through her thoughtfulness, commitment, and hard work.
Jayden values customer service, ensuring that both pets and their owners feel like they’re at home by going above and beyond to form lasting relationships with her clients. When Jayden is not working at the veterinarian clinic, she enjoys doing hair (both her friends and our vets!), snowboarding, playing soccer and slow-pitch, and hanging out with her family pets: Bruce the Catahoula X Rescue Dog, Jack the West Highland Terrier and Mouse the cat!
Madison is a Client Care Specialist who goes above and beyond to provide client services for pets and their owners. She works hard in the clinic and demonstrates skills in administration, animal restraint, disease control, and prevention, medical care, educating clients on nutrition, parasitology, and basic animal care. Our team is lucky to have her as she is always ready to assist in any procedure, and is always carrying a positive attitude. She has been with the Deer Park team since January 2018 after attending the Veterinary Office and Technical Assistant program at Robertson College in Calgary. Her interest in the Veterinary field started from a very young age dealing with mishaps on the farm and volunteering at shelters and clinics. She enjoys riding horses, camping, kayaking, traveling, quadding, and spending time with her Blue Heeler Bow, her cat Diamond, and horses Rusty a Thoroughbred x Warmblood, and Avatar the Quarter horse.
Julia is a client care specialist who works alongside our veterinarians and technicians to ensure both pets and their owners have the best experience possible.
Julia has been on our team since August 2020 and has quickly gained the respect of her fellow employees and clients by her enthusiasm, dedication, and desire to learn more. After years of volunteering at veterinarian clinics and farms in and around Red Deer, Julia took her passion to Deer Park Pet Hospital. Julia holds a Bachelor of Science in Honors Biology with a focus on animal physiology from the University of British Columbia. Julia plans on continuing to pursue her love for medicine through attending veterinarian school in the fall. When not at the hospital, Julia enjoys reading, painting, cycling, and spending time with her Airedale sister, Flori!
Miranda joined the Deer Park Pet team in 2002 as a Client Care Specialist and now works with us part-time. Miranda lives on an acreage just outside of town with her husband, 2 sons, a goofy German Shepherd named Axel and her 3 horses. When she is not busy with her kids and animals, you can find her teaching yoga, play hockey and basketball. She loves to garden and never passes up an opportunity
Laura joined the Deer Park Pet Hospital Team in 2019 after retiring from a successful career as a Police Communication Operator. Excited about starting her second career she transitioned her skills, compassion,
and experiences working in a diverse dynamic client centered environment towards a focus on animal care. In 2018 she attended Olds College Veterinary Medical Receptionist program and graduated with honors.
Laura is at her best when she’s helping others be their best which is evident by the kindness and passion she displays caring for all animals and people she deals with.
When not at work you can find Laura outside either gardening, camping or hiking. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family which includes Olive, the Goldendoodle, and Lilly, her beloved rescue cat.
Crystal has been with the clinic off and on since September 2010, and although mainly working for a related clinic, she officially transfered to Deer Park Pet Hospital in the spring of 2013.
She graduated from Lakeland College in 2007 with a diploma is Animal Health Technology. After graduation, she worked in both emergency critical care and general practice settings in Edmonton. With moving to Red Deer, she has continued to keep up her emergency and critical care experience by also working part time at Animal Emergency Hospital since 2010.
Crystal currently lives in Red Deer with her husband and 2 dogs. Her interests include agility, animal behavior, agility, camping, and … well … agility!!
Jayme is a Registered Veterinary Technologist
with a special interest in small animals and exotics. Her clinical experience started as far back as 2005. Over the years Jayme has worked with a very large variety of animals but the exotics and canines have always been a personal favorite. Jayme was always drawn towards helping animals of all types, often catching and bringing home her new 'pet' much to her parents’ dismay. She has a diploma in Animal Health Technology from GPRC-Fairview College. After graduating in 2011 Jayme moved from North to Central Alberta to work as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Jayme joined the Deer Park Pet Hospital family in 2018. When she is not busy playing with all the scaly, furry, feathered or pocket pals that come into the clinic, Jayme enjoys distance sports on her Arabian gelding Tucker and multiple sports with her rescue pittie Autumn.
KelseyRegistered Veterinary Technologist
Kelsey joined Deer Park Pet Hospital in June 2012 after graduating from Olds College with a Diploma in Animal Health Technology. Kelsey has a special interest in dentistry and is always excited to tackle a new task in the clinic. She has a cat named Tandum who she adopted from Whisker Rescue and a dog named Charlie. Her family has grown over the last few years and when not at work, she can be found doing various outdoor activities with her husband and two daughters.
Rebecca is a Registered Veterinary Technologist who enjoys working with dogs, cats and exotics. Rebecca graduated with her Diploma in Animal Health Technology in 2010. She then went on to travel with World Vets before returning to Edmonton to work at an Emergency Clinic. Rebecca moved back to Red Deer where she joined the Deer Park Pet Hospital team in 2013. Rebecca has a busy life with her husband, two daughters, two cats, dog, hamster and fish. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, gardening and spending time with her family.
Santaya is a Registered Veterinary Technologist who joined the Deer Park team in 2017. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology Program in 2016 from Olds College. She lives on a farm east of Red Deer with her husband, 3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and a herd of cattle. At work her favorite thing to do is anesthesia but when she's at home she enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with her cows.
Samantha joined our team as a Registered Veterinary Technologist in 2019. She holds a Diploma from Olds College where she graduated in 2013. After graduation, she began her career in Drumheller, her hometown, before moving to Red Deer with her husband and fur family. Samantha enjoys working with all small animals but has a special interest in surgery! When not at work you will find her at the dog park with her two dogs or hanging out with friends.
Jennifer started working at Deer Park Pet Hospital in October 2014. She is currently attending Notre Dame High School. She has plans to continue off to College to become and Animal Heath Technologist or a Registered Nurse. Jennifer loves to dance, ski, and hang out with friends in her free time.
